Sunrise Center North Therapeutic Riding Program provides horseback riding lessons and
equine assisted activities to individuals with special needs. Our mission
is to enhance the life of individuals with disabilities. We achieve our mission
through the dedication of our volunteers and community.
Beginning October 1, 2014, Sunrise Center North is a United Way of Grundy County Partner Agency
SUNRISE CENTER NORTH HAS MOVED TO A NEW BARN LOCATION!!
On Friday, October 31st, 2014, Sunrise Center North Therapeutic Riding Program moved
to Lane's End Farm, located at 2575 Finley Road, Minooka IL 60447. Lane's End Farm is located at the end of Finley Road,
just west of Arbeiter Road, approximately 1 mile southwest of Caton Farm and Ridge Roads. We would like to thank Lane's End Farm for welcoming our program and making the
transition a success.
SUNRISE CENTER NORTH HOSTED FILM SCREENING AND CHILI DINNER!!
On Saturday, November 15th, 2014, Sunrise Center North hosted a special screening
of the award winning film Riding My Way Back, a story about a veteran, a horse and hope! The November
15th screening and chili dinner took place at the Morris VFW on Route 47. Through ticket sales, auctions, and the generous
donations of families and friends of our riders and program, we raised jut over $2,000 that will benefit Sunrise Center North's
therapeutic riding program, which benefits children and adults with special needs.
This special Veteran's Day screening took place across the country during the month a November at over 75 locations
in conjunction with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International. For more
